Thérèse is married and is a mother of four children (10, 8,5, and 4 months).

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Technology from University (Quebec, Montreal) and a Bachelor of Education from Cape Breton University (Sydney, Nova Scotia). Her capacity to teach has taken her across the country as she has learned and worked as an educator in three provinces. She has worked as a French & Math Resource Teacher for students with special needs at the l’etoile Acadie (Sydney, Nova Scotia) for 2 years. Therese also substitutes in the Edmonton, Beaumont, and Leduc regions. Therese is passionate about language education and strives to leave a positive impact on each life she encounters, no matter how small.

In 2016, when Thérèse moved to Leduc, Alberta,  her and other French immersion parents noticed there was no French tutoring support in the area.  She started by tutoring her own children and noticed a great improvement in their academic grades. In 2018, FrenchEtvoila was born and became the first tutoring service in Leduc.

Thérèse is a French-speaking native and certified educator, with over eight years of teaching in Francophone and  French Immersion schools.  Thérèse is a substitute-teacher at Edmonton, Beaumont and Leduc area. Thérèse has a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and Technology from University (Quebec, Montreal) and a Bachelor of Education from Cape Breton University (Sydney, Nova Scotia). Her capacity to teach has taken her across the country as she has learned and worked as an educator in three provinces.

Thérèse enjoys working with children and has been fortunate to witness how teaching in French has been transformational in her students’ lives. She has taught both math and science in French and, as a mom of three, has taught on subjects beyond the scope of the classroom.

Thérèse is passionate about language education and strives to leave a positive impact on each life she encounters, no matter how small.

She arrived in Quebec in 2004 from her native country (Cameroon) as an international student. Six years later, she graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal with bachelor degree (major mathematics and minor technology). She then moved to Nova Scotia where she obtained a Bachelor of Education from the University of Cape Breton. During her stay in Nova Scotia, she gained extensive experience by teaching both adults and children inside and outside schools.

In 2016, Thérèse moved to Leduc with her husband and her young children.

The entrepreneurial flame broke out in 2017, when Thérèse could not find French tutoring classes in Leduc for her children. She decided to teach them

herself by taking a break from her full-time teaching career to take care of her young children.

The remarkable academic results of her children led her to the idea that she could support parents and children in her community by offering tutoring classing to those in need.

A year later FrenchEtVoilà business was born!

It must be said that Thérèse has always had an entrepreneurial streak in her. Education and entrepreneurship are a family story. Her mother and grandmother were experienced and successful teachers and entrepreneurs.
